This itinerary makes you discover one of the country’s most outstanding wilderness area. It is the second largest National Park, covering an area of 20,226 sq.km located in south central Tanzania. During the dry season, when game viewing is at its best, animals are drawn to the Great Ruaha River and other water sources. The park has the largest population of elephants. The name Ruaha was derived from the Hehe word called “Luhava” meaning the great river.

Day 1 – Transfer from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park

Early morning pick up from Hotel around 6am, start driving to Ruaha National park which will be around 10 hours of driving, passing through three regions, Coast, Morogoro and Iringa. In this journey you will get to experience the beautiful landscapes on southern circuit of Tanzania. Upon arrival you will check in at the selected lodge/hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Full game drive at Ruaha

Wake up early morning, have breakfast around 6:30 am and start full day game drive. Around 1pm you will have lunch break at the park picnic site then continue game drive until 6pm, transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Walking Safari and Half Game Drive

Wake up early morning, have breakfast around 6:30 am and start walking safari for about 3 hours. You will be accompanied by guide and rangers for safety. After Walking Safari, you will be taken back to the hotel for break while waiting for lunch. After Lunch you will be taken for Half day game drive until sunset and taken back to the hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 4 – Drive back to Dar es Salaam

Wakeup early morning, have breakfast around 6:30am, and start driving back to Dar es Salaam. The journey back will be around 10 hours, you will be dropped to the airport or hotel.
