Itinerary: Mount Meru Trekking

Arrival Day:

Arrive anytime then will prepare a private transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to the hotel.

Mount Meru Climbing information will be collected within the hotel for a pre-climb briefing and kit check.

Day 1: Momela Gate – Mirikamba Hut

Elevation:1597m – 2503m

Vegetation: Mountain Forest

We travel from Arusha to Momela Gate after breakfast. After registering briefly at the gate, a fully armed ranger will accompany us on our Mount Meru climb. Only then will we be able to witness the wild animals, which may include elephants, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, antelope, and elephants on occasion, along the route.At Miriakamba Hut, you can have both dinner and supper in one day. 4-6 hours for mountaineering

Day 2: Mirikamba Huts – Saddle Huts

Elevation: 2503m – 3560m

Vegetation: Forest and Moorland

Immediately after breakfast, we start Miriakamba Hut to the saddle under Little Meru is a brief day but a steep climb. The stroll will take us slowly alongside the ridge for a spectacular view of the Meru Crater and the spectacular Ash Cone. After sizzling lunch at Saddle Hut, we are able to make a brief climb to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) for very good views simply earlier than sundown.

Day 3: Saddle Hut – Summit – Descend Saddle Hut

Leave Saddle hut and descend down to Momella gate via first hut (Miriakamba) where you will be transferred to Arusha/Moshi, the returning transport will probably be ready on the Momella Gate to Arusha. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Arusha

Mountaineering time: 3-4 hours

Departure Day:

Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport, for the flight back home or join another tour end of Mount Meru Climbing program.

Safety

Success is what we want during our trip. We are prepared for any urgent situation and also have in place a complete evacuation procedure in case of altitude sickness. We carry first aid supplies and Pulse Oximeters).

• Customers traveling with Seek Adventure are required to have fully comprehensive travel insurance.
• The policy needs to be valid from the date that the initial order is placed so as to provide cover for a cancellation prior to departure.
